“One of the ways we are preparing for Millennials is to give operators options of using touch screen fixed and portable products through our GFL Gaming suite of products,” Sjöberg explains.

TCS John Huxley’s Tristan Sjöberg recaps 2015 and discusses the year ahead.

What was TCS John Huxley’s 2015 flagship product?

Our core products – Chippers, Roulette Wheels, e-FX displays, tables and layouts continue to be strong performers. Our traditional product range is widely acknowledged as the world’s finest and we take pride in this. In addition, we have had much interest this year in our Gaming Floor Live platform as we continue to roll out products and modules.

The Gaming Floor Live Optimisation module provides a constant flow of gaming data that feeds into the system offering insights to the performance of dealers, tables and game speeds, highlighting areas and processes that can be improved upon in real-time. We have seen significant installations in the UK for the Rank Group and in South Africa with Sun International. This is in addition to over a 1000 tables already installed in Asia for the Sands Group.

What are your business targets for 2016?

By the end of 2016 we will have all our Gaming Floor Live modules plugging into the same operating and reporting system, which will include bonusing, media and gaming. This will be a milestone for the company as we will control the intellectual property that we have design and developed.

What will be the trends that will determine the industry’s successes and failures of the coming year?

Skill-based gaming has been the hot topic for everyone this year. The revival of table games will continue with Millennials being part of the driving force in its expansion. Table games provide interactivity as well as the skill-based aspect that the younger customer wants. That’s what makes table games so appealing. One of the ways we are preparing for these new players is to give operators options of using touch screen fixed and portable products through our GFL Gaming suite of products. These devices are very familiar to younger players with their stunning graphics and interactivity, making them feel part of a community, whether that be at the casino or through social media, for instance. It’s all about choice and flexibility for both players and operators and we at TCS John Huxley are focused on delivering both.
